Role Summary
GlobalData’s Medical Device team is looking to hire a Medical Devices Analyst. This position directly contributes to the high quality business intelligence that GlobalData provides, and will involve conducting a range of investigative, assessment and forecasting activities for the healthcare sector through secondary research as well as phone interviews with key opinion leaders, industry experts and senior physicians globally.

Role Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the scope and direction of high-quality market analysis deliverables in the medical devices portfolio
• Support development of medical devices economic analysis syndicated research platform
• Analyse a disease market from a strategic perspective
• Assess and forecast the market opportunity for agents in Medical Devices development
• Represent the company at client presentations, conferences and with the media
• Interact directly with medical device clients to address client enquiries

Essential Criteria:
•Post-Secondary Degree
•Fast Learner – able to understand new ideas quickly
•Work experience in the Healthcare industry or a syndicated reports publishing company is not essential, but would be an advantage
•Exceptional organizational abilities along with a sense of initiative are also required
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Excellent writing and oral communication skills – much of this job involves writing
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Ability to travel –International and within the United States
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
•Strong secondary research skills, especially scientific literature and internet searchesDesirable Criteria:
• Understanding of the medical devices development process, and the ability to identify key industry and regulatory trends, and their potential impact on medical devices markets
• Understanding of market drivers and dynamics across the healthcare industry
• Comfort in dealing with numbers and working in excel extensively
Analysts will work in GlobalData’s downtown Toronto office. Starting salary is dependent upon experience
