Job Description

The Community Physical Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive services within the Community Health Services Program, as a member of a multi-disciplinary health team committed to health promotion and disease prevention. Assessment and treatment services may be provided to outpatients, inpatients, residents of nursing homes and to clients in their own homes or workplaces. This position also offers some opportunity for delivery of educational programs. The Community Physical Therapist is required to practice in accordance with the philosophy, objectives and policies of their professional association, the community therapy program and the Heartland Health Region.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 drivers license
  • Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists

  • Ability to apply principles of training
  • Ability to conduct training programs for caregivers and other groups
