Position Summary:

The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing assessment and treatment programs for referred patients, including patient and family education. The ability to act in a consultant role is important to effective management of the patient population. Assigns activities, as appropriate, to the assistants and supervises effectively.

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Independent Practice Certificate with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Cardiology, cardiac surgery, and/or intensive care experience an asset
• Eligibility for active membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
• Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support preferred
• Excellent assessment and treatment skillsLeadership capacity within an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to work with minimal direction/supervisionA good understanding of and experience with the OTA/PTA role required
• Good organizational, planning and time management skillsExcellent communication skillsFlexibility and adaptability to change are essential
