Physiotherapy Assistant Instructor

Eastern College Inc., Saint John campus, is actively seeking a registered Physiotherapist interested in joining the campus team as an Instructor for the Physiotherapy Assistant program.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide quality delivery of assigned courses within the Physiotherapy Assistant program, utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments and exams.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the knowledge and experience in medical terminology, the appropriate education and a minimum of two (2) years practical work experience in a hospital, private setting or Canadian clinical physiotherapy setting. Qualified candidates will be registered as a Physiotherapist in the province of New Brunswick. Demonstrated leadership skills including supervision, motivation and facilitation are preferred. Intermediate MS Office skills and strong command of the English language both written and verbal are essential.

Hours of Work:

This position is a part-time opportunity. Hours of work will be four (4) hours per day, Monday to Friday, and will be scheduled from 8am-12pm or 1pm-5pm

The scheduled start for this opportunity is November 2015
