Academic Allergist and Immunologist
The Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences invites applicants for an Academic Physician to join the Division of Allergy and Immunology. This is a full-time faculty position for a period of three years (renewable). Academic rank will commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Applicants will have completed specialty training in Internal Medicine and further fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology. Clinical duties are expected to encompass both adult and pediatric populations, including immunodeficiency and food allergy and, as such, an affiliation with the Department of Pediatrics will be offered to the chosen candidate. The successful candidate will be expected to fully participate in all of the appropriate departmental and divisional educational activities.
The successful candidate will be a full time member of the Division of Allergy and Immunology and be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Faculty and Division. This is a Clinician Educator position and the successful candidate should have a proven track record in undergraduate and/or postgraduate education.
Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario. Priority will be given to those applicants who have proven experience in immunodeficiency and food allergy in the pediatric population.
