Lifemark Black Gold Drive is a beautiful 3550 square foot clinic conveniently located at the East end of the Leduc Recreation Centre. Our spacious clinic boasts nine physiotherapy treatment rooms, two hand therapy stations, two private massage therapy rooms, and a traction table for both cervical and lumbar traction. Additionally, we have a HUGE exercise area filled with natural light and complete with treadmill, stationary and recumbent bikes, loads of equipment for strengthening, balance and proprioceptive training, functional exercises, and more. We also have various treatment modalities including ultrasound, IFC (interferential current), TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), NMES (neuromuscular electrical stimulation), heat, paraffin wax bath, and ice.
We are seeking a Senior Physiotherapist/Clinical Lead for this dynamic, multi-specialty clinic.
Are you ready for your next career challenge? As a Leader you will have a clinical designation as a Physiotherapist with preferably a minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience, along with a passion for developing clinical excellence through mentorship of new staff, ongoing education and professional development. You will emphasize goal setting, objective measurement, treatment planning, caseload management and the use of outcomes reports in 1:1 meetings with clinical staff. The clinical lead will demonstrate and champion the Lifemark Patient Experience.
Expectations Regarding Clinical Quality:
- Review extension requests for WCB, MVA and LTD patients and assist clinical staff with caseload management skills
- Provides quality assurance reports
- Maintains standards for communication (charts, letters, telephone) with customers
- Participates in and organizes inservices for staff (internal & external as required)
- Promote and encourage other continuing education opportunities such as hosting courses or bringing in guest speakers for inservices
- Participation in team building events
Expectations Regarding Professional Development:
- Demonstrate clinical leadership and expertise through mentorship and the management of professional development for clinical staff
- Provide mentorship of clinical staff as required
- Provide supervision of PT interns and PT students if required
- Perform 1:1 monthly meetings with all clinical staff- review of physiotherapist scorecard and other objective measures of performance
- Hold staff meetings as needed
- Develop corrective action plans when performance issues are identified
- Review treatment plans for accuracy, clinical reasoning & program selection
- Recruitment and hiring of clinical staff
- Assist Business Manager in recruitment and hiring of support staff
- Assist in clinic marketing
