Manages Inpatient or Outpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology Services, inclusive of staffing, budgeting, administration of departmental policies and procedures, and coordination with other departments to facilitate attainment of interdepartmental and intradepartmental goals. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Required Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Must have an active or pending DC license.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Current knowledge and skills in physical, occupational and/or speech language pathology therapy treatment with evidence of previous management/supervisory abilities, including ability to work with multidisciplinary personnel, effective communication skills, flexibility and ability to cope and problem solve.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and healthcare management is essential.
