Clinical Physiotherapist II
Definition of work: This physiotherapy position, shared between Baie Verte Penninsula and Green Bay Health Centre, is a highly independent clinical position with the primary purpose of facilitating optimal physical performance of clients with a wide variety of physical, or environmentally induced impairments utilizing best practice guidelines. Clinical work involves client assessment, development of client centered goals and intervention plans, as well as, completion of all required documentation. The incumbent will provide leadership within Central Health’s Physiotherapy Division by building on existing partnerships within acute care, long-term care, restorative care, community, community supports, and providing opportunities to build new ones. Travel will be required. The duties of this position will be completed with the support and direction from the Regional Director of Rehabilitative Services and the Regional Clinical Leader of Physiotherapy. This position will report to the Manager of Client Care Services at Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre and Green Bay Health Centre for daily operations. The successful candidate will be committed to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements.
Required qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an approved university
* Currently registered with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Physiotherapists
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge of development and program evaluation
* Demonstrated research, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
* A valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class 5 Driver’s License and use of a private vehicle are conditions of employment
* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position
* A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years work experience in the field of Physiotherapy
Hours of work: 75 hours bi-weekly (Shift work may be required)
Salary: CG-43 ($38.67-$45.59)
