Emergent, Critical, Clinical, and Support Services:
The Quality Improvement (QI) Consultant provides expertise and support to designated areas and staff regarding quality and safety in alignment with organizational priorities and needs in order to improve outcomes of care and services for patients, staff, and other clients. The QI Consultant participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of QI processes and projects including Accreditation. The QI Consultant works collaboratively with the Quality Improvement physician, Health Outcomes team members, management, staff, and physicians in their designated areas to create a shared culture and values in relation to how they work together to solve problems, utilize patient/client feedback, and contribute to a culture of quality and safety. This position is the primary liaison between Health Outcomes and the designated areas in terms of accessing additional support and specialized expertise from other Health Outcomes members. This position supports teams engaged in regional and collaborative projects and addresses issues regarding methods, measurement, and test cycles. All Management and Out of Scope positions are being reviewed for possible inclusion in the AUPE General Support Services bargaining unit. If this position is impacted, the incumbent will be notified accordingly. |

Qualifications: | |
– Bachelor of Science Degree in a health services discipline. – Master’s Degree in a health related discipline preferred. – 5-7 years experience in a healthcare environment. – Experience and knowledge in quality improvement methodology, process analysis, group facilitation, outcome/evaluation strategies, and patient safety. – Strong and proven analytical and statistical analysis skills. – 2-3 years experience with QI methodology. – Project Management training is an asset. – Strong understanding of health care systems, quality improvement, and performance measurement methodology. Please Note: This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required. |
