Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as within a client and family centred care model and the vision and values of the department across the Lower Mainland Integration (LMI) health authorities (Fraser Health Authority, Providence Health Care, Provincial Health Services Authority, and Vancouver Coastal Health). Under general supervision performs established diagnostic ultrasound and cardiac ultrasound procedures.JOB SUMMARY:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
Graduation from a recognized sonography program; plus (ARDMS) American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers certified as (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiology Sonographer.
One year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Ability to organize and coordinate workload and set priorities.
• Ability to perform related procedures and operate related equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal effectively with others.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
