Western Health is seeking the services of a salaried, Family Physician who will be based at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders and required to float within the northern region of Western Health. This position is established to assist in providing full scope Family Practice services at Rufus Guinchard Health Center, Bonne Bay Health Centre, Cow Head/Parsons Pond/Daniel’s Harbour Medical Clinics, and Trout River/Woody Point Medical Clinics.
The role of this Physician includes:
- Provision of Family Practice coverage at any of the above locations during absences of the other physicians;
- Physician is expected to work an 8-hour work day in the Health Centre / Medical Clinic, Monday to Friday from 0830 to 1630 hours.
- Physician availability is expected from 0830 to 1800 hours on clinic days.
- Provision of a regular rotation of on call services between sites as per a schedule established by Western Health.
Qualifications:
Interested applicants must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL) under the Family Medicine guidelines and satisfy the credentialing requirements of Western Health.
Remuneration:
The General Practice Salary Scale ranges from $151,591.00 to $181,912.00 as outlined in the current Memorandum of Agreement. The Department of Health and Community Services in accordance with Provincial Guidelines will officially determine a Physician’s step assignment.
