The Manager of Rehabilitation, under the direction of the Director or designate of Bayshore Therapy & Rehabilitation, is accountable for growing rehabilitation services in the MVA, WSIB and private consumer sector. Time is divided between building relationships with referral sources, recruitment, clinical work and supervising a team of rehabilitation professionals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Relations/Business Development

Promote therapy and rehabilitation services with personal injury lawyers, case managers, rehab professionals and insurance companies, through community relations and events, information sessions

Key marketing activities in these areas include one-on-one meetings, group presentations, direct marketing/mail efforts and display marketing at workshops/conferences
Human Resources Management
- Hire, coach and retain quality therapist consultants and rehab assistants to support business growth
- Develop a team through strong communication
- Manage consultant and rehab assistant performance through monthly/annual reviews
Service Management

Cultivate a strong customer service and sales performance culture

Ensure channels of communication between consultants,/rehab assistants, clients, referral sources, and funders of service

Oversee continuous improvement initiatives and service delivery to ensure client and customer needs are metOther Responsibilities
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external education activities
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures
Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company’s Quality Management System
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: University degree in health related field such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Kinesiology, or Case Management experience with undergraduate degree.
Experience: Minimum five years experience with auto insurance and personal injury work; management experience preferred. Experience with case management, in-home assessments, attendant care needs assessments, functional ability evaluations, ergonomic assessments, future care cost analyses, vocational assessments, employment counseling, transferable skills analyses, and labour market surveys all considered an asset. Business development and marketing experience required.
Other Skills and Abilities: Enjoy dealing with people and working in a fast-paced high customer service environment. Good business sense and strategic thinking. Strong entrepreneurial, marketing, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills. Ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent manner. Ability to work independently and effectively lead a team. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
