Medical Administrative Assistant
Pro Physio & Sport Medicine Centres has 31 clinics in the National Capital Region. Our team includes Physiotherapists with various qualifications including Advanced Manual Therapists (RCAMT and FCAMT), FUI, Concussion, ART, and IMS. Our team also includes Sport Medicine Physicians, Orthopedic Surgeons, Registered Massage Therapists, Kinesiologists, Athletic Therapists, Chiropractors and Physiotherapy Assistants. All of our clinics are managed by physiotherapists and excel in providing current and courteous care to everyone who seeks physiotherapy and rehabilitation. We believe in maintaining high standards that will benefit the client and are recognized in the community and insurance industry as promoters of premium quality health care.
Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7am-8pm. Immediate opportunities include full-time and part-time positions. Our benefit package includes paid vacation, sick leave, and extended health benefits
As a Medical Administrative Assistant, you are passionate about your work and perform with a high level of energy, reliability and pride. Customers and coworkers alike look forward to their interactions with you. Your administrative work is thorough, organized and detail-oriented. You have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and an ability to learn new software applications quickly. You have a solid command of the English language and excellent communication skills. Your work experience demonstrates success in providing customer service and strong administrative support.
Responsibilities include:
Schedule and confirm medical appointments and receive and communicate messages for medical staff and patients
Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence and prepare spreadsheets and documents for review
Interview patients in order to complete forms, documents and case histories
Complete insurance and other claim forms
Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records
Prepare draft agendas for meetings and take, transcribe and distribute minutes
Prepare financial statements and billing
Establish and maintain various internal office administrative support procedures such as document tracking and filing and monthly reporting
Order supplies and maintain inventory
Determine and establish office procedures and routines
May supervise and train other staff in procedures and in use of current software.
