The Medical Massage Therapist will perform therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints. This position will assist in the assessment of range of motion and muscle strength, or propose client therapy plans as well as maintain clinical notes. The Massage Therapist will consult with various health care professionals such as physiotherapists, physicians and psychologists in order to develop treatment plans for clients. This is a contingent (PRN) position working as needed at the request of our clients. We have positions in the Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Farmington and Farmington Hills geographical locations.
Core Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Graduated from an accredited Massage Therapy school or program in the United States
Must have appropriate license to practice Massage Therapy in the State of Michigan
Must be able to assess soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength and range of motion
Must be knowledgeable of treatment plan development that specifies which types of massage are to be used
Must be able to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance
National Certification for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCTMB) is preferred
Must have experience working with individuals who have neurologic conditions such as brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, etc.

Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and serve as a team member
Ability to lift, maneuver and carry up to 30 lbs
Must have a valid driver’s license
Acceptable driving record
Acceptable under the State of Michigan’s Good Moral Character Statute
Knowledgeable of HIPAA privacy rules
Ability to work a flexible schedule
