Physical Therapist
The Float Pool Physical Therapist examines and evaluates patients and administers physical therapy interventions in collaboration with the referring physician. Demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for and manage primarily adolescent, adult and geriatric age patients in an outpatient setting.
Work settings to include Grand View Hospital Sports Medicine in either the Sellersville Outpatient Center or the Harleysville Outpatient Center, as well as Grand View Health & Wellness in Harleysville (Genesis Fitness Centre location). The ideal candidate has outpatient orthopedic experience and the ability to work evening hours on a consistent basis.
Job accountabilities include, but are not limited to, examining and evaluating all new patients referred for physical therapy, interpreting the examination and evaluative data using good judgment to identify/prioritize patient problems, coordinating the plan of care with the department, administering PT interventions competently, addressing potential discharge needs and services of the patient early in the care planning process, assisting in scheduling of outpatients, directing the work of the Physical Therapy Assistants, and adhering to strict patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Maintains professional Physical Therapist licensure as required in the state of PA.
- Has some clinical PT experience through previous positions or minimally from clinical affiliations as part of his/her PT education.
