Assist with carrying out treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in an acute care and acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. Possesses the overall knowledge and psycho-moter skills to carry out the requested physical therapy interventions for which they have been trained. Communicates with PT about patient progress, and communicates with patients in a respectful, professional manner to adequately monitor their specific needs, explain goals of the treatment, and offer encouragement.

Requirements:

Maintains professional licensure as required by the state of PA for Physical Therapy Assistants.
Experience working with acute care/acute inpatient rehabilitation patients preferred.
