Physician Recruiter

We are looking for three recruiters with a high level of professionalism, demonstrated ability to recruit for senior/executive positions as well as the ability to work within a high volume environment. Experience recruiting in rural geographical areas is an asset as well as demonstrated ability to hire into difficult to fill positions. Working as part of a team, the recruitment activities are varied in nature therefore adaptability is essential. Your ability to work within established processes, as well as being able to strategically improve service to clients and attract top candidates is critical. Team work is essential as is your ability to work under pressure.Physician recruitment is organized by various contracts and agreements and a strong team approach is taken to ensure standard levels of service for all physician groups throughout Interior Health. The Physician Recruiter is responsible for providing value added support and guidance to hiring managers (Chiefs of Staff, Physicians, Senior Medical Directors, political members of a community) within their portfolio on physician recruitment activities. Working within an accountability framework across Interior Health’s large geographical area. Previous experience in urban and rural recruitment would be advantageous.

Qualifications
• A relevant undergraduate degree
• A minimum of five years of recent, related experience; recruiting in a fast-paced environment focused on high profile positions.
• Advanced knowledge and creative ability in recruitment marketing and sourcing techniques for hard-to-fill positions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior leaders, Regional Districts, and MLAs.
• Political astuteness.
• A non-related degree and experience, in combination with a professional designation (CHRP), will be considered.Skills and Abilities:
• Sound knowledge of physician recruitment activities and best practice within IH and throughout the province.
• Knowledge of the Medical Staff Resource Plan and applicable policies and procedures.
• Possess a customer-focused approach and the ability to develop effective relationships with physician leaders, IH administrators and managers, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to establish rapport with individuals of all educational and occupational backgrounds.
• Enjoy working independently and as a collaborative team member including being able to cover recruitment needs in other portfolios as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including written and oral communication.
• Demonstrable professionalism, confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
• Utilize problem-solving and root-cause analytical skills.
• Ability to drive results in a positive and professional manner in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated experience in interviewing and using selection tools.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and any applicant tracking system.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
