Job Summary: | |
This position is responsible for providing individual, group and classroom based intervention to children in a school environment. Students are referred by school personnel. The incumbent will be responsible for working closely with schools and parents to collaborate, coordinate and provide intervention using a Response to Intervention model.
The program is closed at the end of June and reopens at the end of August. Affected employees will be given an option of taking a leave of absence, vacation, an advance of vacation, banked overtime, a combination thereof, or a layoff as agreed to in a Letter of Understanding between AHS and HSAA. |

Qualifications: | |
– Registered with the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta (CPTA) – Minimum of three (3) years pediatric Experience Required – Direct experience working with a wide range of service providers – School based experience an asset – An understanding of Alberta Learning’s requirement for student education and familiarity with the learning system – Experience in Program Development – Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skill required – BCLS-HCP certification required – This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required |
