We are looking for an experienced PHYSIOTHERAPIST for our Ottawa site. We are looking for candidates with knowledge, skills, and abilities in the treatment and rehabilitation of injured workers with musculoskeletal injuries, including occupational rehabilitation, chronic pain, and return to work. Experience with post-surgical, post injury active rehab, work simulation, functional ability evaluations and return to work planning is preferred. An approach including both physical and psychosocial interventions is essential. The successful candidate must be able to work within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, and Physician and Psychologist consultants. Strong communication, teamwork and service excellence skills are important. We prefer candidates with a minimum of three years of experience specific to this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
• University Degree in respective profession as required by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Certificate of Registration with respective College
• Bilingualism is an asset
• Three (3) years related experience in the treatment of clients/patients with work related injuries
• Three (3) years WSIB experience and private/insurance/MVA work
• Bilingual in French is an asset
• Strong physical assessment & treatment planning skills
• Knowledge of active rehab protocols
• CHT or Pelvic Health training preferred
• Work Well Isernhagen certification preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrates appropriate and effective written, oral, and nonverbal communication skills
• Compliance with confidentiality requirements
• Exercise initiative and good judgment with ability to multi-task
