ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION Peace Collaborative Services (PCS) is an umbrella organization which provides specialized educational support services across the northwest including outreach service for Northern Lakes and Northern Lights regions. PCS serves eight school jurisdictions whose employees are hired by the Grande Prairie Public School District #2357.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Peace Collaborative Services is seeking a Permanent Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary school team. As the ideal candidate, you are energetic and enjoy working with children from Kindergarten through Grade 12. You will work collaboratively to integrate student programming with other disciplines such as Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Psychology and for identified students.

BEING PART OF OUR DYNAMIC TEAM, YOU WILL:

 Help make a difference – Provide individual child services:

o Work with a diverse pediatric caseload to provide assessment, consultation, inservice and programming for children

o Provide direct treatment intervention to specific children o Participate in case conferences, parent interviews, medical consultations and clinic programming o Research and provide consultation regarding supportive adaptive equipment

 Take a leadership role – Oversee program services:

o Provide programming input for Educational Assistants o Provide input into the direction and requirements of the Physiotherapy program in various

jurisdictions o Develop, implement and evaluate a quality assurance program o Provide input into annual operating and capital equipment budgets o Provide input into the development and implementation of group programs o Attend staff, department and other meetings as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

 You work well independently and can show initiative

 You are self-motivated, and an enthusiastic learner with excellent problem solving skills

 Must hold a Degree in Physiotherapy

 Must be registered with the Physiotherapy Alberta College and Association

 Valid driver’s license (Travel required)

 Provide criminal record and child welfare check

 Pediatric experience is an asset

 Competitive salary ($63,755 – $98,282 based on experience)

 Work the school year with school holidays. Salary paid of 12 months.

 $1,500 – $5,000 relocation budget allowance (To be discussed)
