Qualifications:

  • Recognized baccalaureate degree or college equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited university/college
  • Licensed to practice in BC
  • CPR certification
  • Previous experience as a member of a multidisciplinary team and past clinical placement or related work experience working with third party referred clients (WSBC, LTD, ICBC) with a return to work focus of rehabilitation is considered an asset
  • Mentorship for new graduates

Responsibilities:

  • Provide an accurate, detailed physical assessment prior to the client’s entrance into the program.
  • Development of an individual physical therapy program for each client based on the clients needs, both from the physical assessment and from their personal goals.
  • Participation in multidisciplinary conferences and/or client-care planning.
  • Co-ordination of treatment regimes and programs with the client and the other members of the team.
  • Provision of reassessment and follow-up assessment with development of a plan for the client’s independent home program or further follow-up as required.
