Primary work location is HSC Adult Inpatient Pharmacy. May be required to work at other sites.

Primary rotation assignment is HSC Adult Medicine/Surgery.

Responsibilities: 

Under the general supervision of the Site Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the provision of pharmacy services to accommodate the medication and medication-related needs of hospital inpatients and outpatients.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a recognized School of Pharmacy required.
• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy practice is an asset.
• Licensed to practice as a Direct Patient Care Pharmacist in the Province of Manitoba.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate professional information and to deal appropriately with matters of an urgent nature.
• Knowledge of information systems technology and software is required.
• Knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems and software preferred.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• The ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with other individuals.
• Travel from site to site may be required.
